Gene & Cell Therapy Study Group Programming: Gene & Cell Therapy: The Next Frontier

8:30 - 9:30am Wednesday, 21st May, 2025

Franklin Hall 11/12 (4th Floor)

P. Ellen Grant, Christopher Hess, Camilla Lindan

Talks will focus on the increasing role which diagnostic and interventional neuroradiologists have in the development of emerging gene and cell therapies. Topics will include delivery, focused ultrasound to overcome the blood brain barrier, imaging of gene and protein expression and exciting new advances being made in neuro-oncology.

Upon completion of this activity, learners will gain strategies to:

1. Explain the role of interventional neuroradiology in the delivery of gene and cell therapies and how focused ultrasound can aid delivery, overcoming the blood brain barrier;

2. Identify exciting new applications of gene and cell therapy in neuro-oncology;

3. Describe how molecular imaging plays an important role in therapeutic development of precision medicine.

Moderators: Pam Schaefer, Jody Tanabe
